The Seven Void Regions and Ten Realms on the Path to Satlok
This account describes the complete structure of the path from Earth (Prithvi Lok) to Satlok, as explained by Kabir. It outlines the existence of seven void regions (Shunya) and ten distinct realms (Lok), presenting a precise arrangement of the spiritual structure beyond the physical world.
The Structure of the Path: Seven Shunya and Ten Lok
Kabir Sahib explained that on the journey from Earth to Satlok, there are seven Shunya, meaning empty or void regions.
Before and after each of these voids, there exist realms, making a total of ten Lok in the complete structure.
Additionally, there are nine stages or stations (mukam), and the tenth realm is Satlok, referred to as the true and eternal abode.
The First Group of Realms
The initial structure consists of a group of multiple realms combined together.
This group includes:
- Earth (Prithvi Lok)
- Heaven (Swarg Lok)
- The seven underworlds (Patal Lok)
- The realms associated with Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma
- 88,000 regions or settlements
All of these together form one collective group of realms.
The First and Second Void Regions
Between this group of realms and Brahm Lok, there exists the first Shunya.
The second Shunya surrounds Brahm Lok itself.
The Third and Fourth Void Regions
The third Shunya surrounds five Brahmand (cosmic universes).
The fourth Shunya extends around twenty Brahmand.
The Fifth Void Region: Domain of Kaal Brahm
The fifth Shunya surrounds the domain of Kaal Brahm, which consists of twenty-one Brahmand.
This marks a further expansion in the structure of the higher realms.
The Sixth Void Region: Akshar Purush Lok
The sixth Shunya is situated around the realm of Akshar Purush.
This realm exists within a unique cosmic structure described as one Shankh Brahmand.
Within this:
- Akshar Purush retains one Brahmand as His own
- The remaining six Maha-Brahmand each encompass one Shankh Brahmand
Between this personal Brahmand of Akshar Purush and the region known as the Bhanwar Gufa, the sixth Shunya is located.
The Seventh Void Region: Before Satlok
The seventh Shunya lies between the realm of Akshar Purush (which spans seven Shankh Brahmand) and Satlok.
This is the final void region before reaching the highest realm.
The Nine Stations and the Tenth Realm
Across this entire structure, there are nine distinct stations or levels (mukam) that the soul passes through.
Beyond these nine lies the tenth and ultimate realm.
Detailed Knowledge of the Nine Stations (Mukam)
A more detailed explanation of these nine stations clarifies the journey of the soul:
The soul resides in Earth Lok but remains entangled in two primary realms—Patal Lok and Swarg Lok—where it exhausts the fruits of its actions. These two form the first two stations.
Beyond these are the realms of the three deities:
- The realm of Brahma
- The realm of Vishnu
- The realm of Shiva
- The realm of Durga
These together form four additional stations.
Then comes Brahm Lok, which is counted as one more station. Up to this point, the total becomes seven stations.
The eighth station is the twenty-first Brahmand, which is the personal domain of Kaal Brahm.
The ninth station is the realm of Akshar Purush.
Thus, these form nine stations (mukam), and beyond them lies the tenth realm—Satlok.
Correspondence Within the Human Body
This same arrangement is said to exist within the human body through the system of internal centers:
- In the Patal region resides the realm of Ganesha
- Then follows the realm of Brahma and Savitri
- Then the realm of Vishnu and Lakshmi
- Then the realm of Shiva and Parvati
- Then the realm of Durga
- The Trikuti region exists within Swarg Lok
- The seventh is the realm of Kaal Brahm
Beyond these are two higher realms:
- The personal domain of Jyoti Niranjan
- The personal domain of Akshar Purush
Earth is not counted among these stations because it is the starting point from which the soul departs, not part of the upward path.
Satlok: The True and Final Abode
The tenth realm is Satlok, the eternal abode of the Supreme Being.
Sat Purush resides in this realm, which exists beyond all nine stations and all seven void regions.
Conclusion
This complete structure presents a precise path of ascent:
- Seven void regions (Shunya) exist along the way
- Ten realms (Lok) form the full structure
- Nine intermediate stations (mukam) define the journey
- The tenth and final destination is Satlok
It also establishes a direct correspondence between the external cosmic structure and the internal structure within the human body, presenting a unified and clearly defined system.
