How the Foster Parents of God Kabir Reincarnated Across Four Yugas

Minutes to read.

Many are familiar with Kabir Sahib's life in Kalyuga, but few know the deeper mystery of how the souls around Him traveled across the eras. According to the spiritual teachings of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, here is the fascinating chronological journey of the souls who served the Supreme Lord. The chronological progression of these souls across the four eras (yugas), resolves how their identities changed through time.

According to the divine law, the Supreme God manifests as an infant floating on a lotus flower in a body of water in every single yuga. He never takes birth from a mother's womb.

Satyuga

The Supreme Lord manifests on a lotus flower as an infant and is named Sat Sukrit.

The Foster Parents:

Found by a pious, childless Brahmin couple - Rishi Gangadhar and his wife Deepika. They raise the infant Lord and accumulate an immense storehouse of spiritual virtues (shubh karmas).

Tretayuga

The Supreme Lord manifests on a lotus flower as an infant and is named Muninder Rishi.

The Foster Parents:

The exact same souls from Satyuga are reborn together due to their deep bond. Rishi Gangadhar is reborn as Sage Vedvigya, and Deepika is reborn as Surya. Still childless, they discover the infant Muninder on a lotus flower and raise Him a second time.

Dwaparyuga

The previous souls take a break from their parenting roles, and a new group of characters enters the narrative. The Supreme Lord manifests on a lotus flower as an infant and is named Karunamay.

The Foster Parents:

Raised by a childless couple from the Valmiki community named Bhikhu (also called Kalu) and Godavari.

The Disciple & His Biological Parents:

A boy named Sudarshan (who becomes the famous saint Supach Sudarshan) takes initiation from Karunamay. While Sudarshan is deeply devoted, his biological parents stubbornly reject Karunamay’s divine knowledge. Before passing away, Sudarshan begs the Lord to save his parents. God Kabir promises him: "I will personally grant your parents refuge in a future era (Kalyuga)."

Kalyuga

In this final era, all the individual paths converge as God Kabir fulfills His past promises. The Supreme Lord manifests on a lotus flower in the Lahartara pond of Kashi (1398 CE) by His actual name, Kabir Sahib.

The New Foster Parents (Neeru & Neema):

To fulfill the promise made to Supach Sudarshan, his stubborn biological parents from Dwaparyuga are brought back. After a few intermediate childless births, they are born as the Brahmin couple Gauri Shankar and Saraswati, forcibly converted to Islam, and renamed Neeru and Neema. Guided by destiny, they find the infant Kabir  on the lotus flower.

The Path of the "Father" Soul (Swami Ramananda):

The soul of Rishi Gangadhar (Satyuga) / Sage Vedvigya (Tretayuga) is reborn as the 104-year-old Vaishnava saint, Swami Ramananda. He is chosen to be Kabir Sahib’s public "Guru" to maintain societal customs (Guru Maryada). Later, Kabir Sahib shows him Satlok, reversing their roles to make Ramananda His disciple.

The Path of the "Mother" Soul (Rabia / Kamali)

The soul of Deepika (Satyuga) / Surya (Tretayuga) takes a turbulent journey.

  1. Birth as Rabia Basri: Born in a Muslim family. She takes true initiation from God Kabir (Jinda Baba) but falls away due to religious pressure.
  2. Birth as Bansuri: Reborn as a singer named Bansuri, dying in Mecca out of intense emotional devotion.
  3. Birth as a Prostitute: Reborn into a sinful life as a prostitute, entirely exhausting her human life credits.
  4. Birth & Liberation as Kamali: Reborn as the daughter of Sheikh Taqi. She dies at age 13 with no human life credits left, destined for the animal kingdom. God Kabir steps in, resurrects her from her grave, adopts her as His daughter Kamali, and grants her soul final salvation (Moksha) back to Satlok.

Conclusion:

This intricate cycle of births and deaths beautifully illustrates how no selfless service to the Supreme Lord goes unnoticed, and how divine promises are always fulfilled across millions of years.
