Summary of Santosh Bodh

In Kabir Sagar, the 27th chapter "Santosh Bodh" is on page 151. Lord Kabir Ji stated in the Kabir Bani chapter on page 137, "I speak of thirty-three crore knowledge, and the original knowledge I keep within myself." Santosh Bodh is part of that thirty-three crore teachings.

Santosh means contentment. It is the state of being satisfied with whatever God provides and the way He keeps things. In the path of devotion, a devotee follows sixteen practices, one of which is Santosh. Kabir Parameshwar Ji said:

Gaj (haathi) dhan, raaj dhan aur dhan na ki khaan. Jab aaya santosh dhan, sab dhan dhoor samaan.

"Elephant's wealth, king's wealth, and wealth from a mine,
When the wealth of contentment arrives, all other wealth becomes like dust."

The explanation of contentment (Santosh Dhan) is enough. Even if the chapter name is incorrect, the knowledge in it should be considered as part of the thirty-three crore wisdom.

On page 158 of Santosh Bodh, nine elements are described:

1) Earth, 2) Water, 3) Air, 4) Fire, 5) Sky, 6) Light, 7) Surti (awareness), 8) Nirati (movement), 9) Word

In this the word element is incorrectly written here. The word is actually a quality of the sky element. It should be "mind".

The rest of the pages cover knowledge of lotuses, but this is incomplete. The knowledge of the creation of the universe is also partially written, and thus, this entire knowledge has already been covered in previous chapters.
